My name is John C. Osborn. I’m a freelance journalist and photographer living in Oakland who believes, wholeheartedly, that this the best time ever for journalism — the “transition” I call it. I’m also a graduate student at UC Berkeley’s Journalism program.
I love the drama of local government politics, the number-crunching involved in data-based reporting, and feel enthusiastic about the opportunities that exist merging multimedia, news, and the Internet. This website is archive of my work and a testing ground for new ideas. Let’s see what happens.
